75Cr1 cold-rolled steel strip used for manufacturing fastener products

When it comes to the grade 75Cr1 spring steel, it's a grade we're quite familiar with, especially given the many inquiries we've had regarding issues like spheroidization rates concerning the 75Cr1 cold-rolled steel strip. At our company, we've been consistently producing this material, serving as a supplier to numerous saw blade manufacturers and some high-tensile structural component producers. Compared to other spring steels or high-quality carbon structural steels, this material stands out due to its combination of higher carbon content and chromium alloy elements, placing it in a relatively high-end position among spring steels.

Originally designated as a tool steel grade in the German DIN 17350-1980 standard, 75Cr1 corresponds to the domestic Chinese GB standard grade 75Cr. The "1" in DIN standard 75Cr1 is part of the naming convention used to indicate the range of chromium content constraints. Over time, due to development by domestic steel mills and market demand, 75Cr1 cold-rolled steel strip has become one of the representative grades in China's alloy tool steel industry. It is primarily used in the circular saw blade and saw strip industries for manufacturing circular saw blades, frame saw blades, hand saw blades, woodworking saw blades, and food saw blades, among others. Compared to some carbon steels in the GB standard, 75Cr1 enhances the material's tempering properties by increasing the chromium content.

Recently, we received an inquiry from a customer interested in 75Cr1 cold-rolled steel strip for producing a special type of fastener, similar to the one depicted in the image, which resembles a metal strap. Overall, the product places relatively strict requirements on the bending performance of the cold-rolled steel strip. Additionally, it demands precision punching properties and smooth fracture surfaces. For such products, the material requires moderate hardness, neither too soft nor too hard. After conducting various hardness tests, we determined that the optimal hardness range for the 75Cr cold-rolled steel strip is around HRB60, making it well-suited for the production and manufacturing of these types of products.
